And so it begins....

Hello Friends! For those of you that follow my Cottage blog, Welcome to my new little obsession :) and for anyone who happened upon this little place another way, Welcome too! I created this blog because my love of miniatures would have over-taken my other blog , so I wanted to make a special place just for tiny things...If you've been a follower or if you're new here, I've spoken of my love of small things and dollhouses. It's actually my love of dollhouses since my childhood that brought me into the world of Interior Design and Decorating. We all start somewhere...My creative side has been put on hold all summer, due to the passing of my dear Father. But as with all things , I need to carry on and honor all the love and creativity that speaks to my soul. I'll be posting about my ventures into miniatures here. I've went on a few shopping sprees with my Mother and bought out the craft stores of polymer clay and all the little necessities to start getting my hands dirty and busy. :) The above photos are just hints of what I've done so far. I've made my own miniatures for while now, but now I'm entering into unknown territories of miniature foods, and smaller accessories, so wish me luck and God help those around me when I get obsessed , lol. Thanks so much for visiting me here. Your friendship has always meant the world to me, and to anyone new, welcome!

Love always, Cynthia

So sweet ! My late husband and I made and decorated a doll house for our daughter years ago when she was a little girl, she still has it tucked away in her garage, because alas, she has two boys, she has a stepdaughter who is 13 and not into such things anymore.
But I remember how much fun it was to make the decorations for it.

How fun! I've got two dollhouses (one exactly like mine from the 1950's and one newer Colonial type one that I gifted my granddaughter with). I will be interested to see how you decorate and hope to get lots of great ideas from you!

Hi - I follow your original blog and was happy to be directed here..my Dad used to make doll houses for sale when he got older, but I was already grown..and sadly, I never had a doll house. Maybe it's time..I'm going to be 61 this October and I think it's darn time I had one!

Well now Cynthia ~ you are certainly speaking to my soul. I adore miniatures and have been collecting them since I was a young girl. That is exactly what started my career as an interior designer as well. I am an old follower of your other blog and the newest follower of this charming one. I will be back often ~ I promise! What fun we will have!!

By the way, I hope that my Daddy gets to meet yours up in heaven. It's so hard losing a Daddy, but we must carry on with the precious genes they gave to us and make them proud!

Lots of love,
Susan and Bentley

I must show the doll house to my husband and the furniture. My husband is a carpenter/builder and he is always creating in his workshop. Maybe one day we'll be able to pursue this passion of miniatures! How adorable and addicting! Your giveaway is fabulous as I collect old tea cups and saucers. Thank you for sharing your inner beauty with us all!
